- In 1923, Andrew Napieralski was paid the sum of $10 to use his piano for the company dance.
- MOTION was made in the February meeting in 1923 to eat the box of candy left over from the dance. THE MOTION WAS CARRIED
- The Carnivals hosted by Doyle Hose Company #1 began in 1923.
- Members were fined $.50 for disorderly conduct at company dances, and that included groping of their escorts.
- In October of 1925, the company joined the Southwestern Association.
- In December of 1925, the members voted to buy a lock for the firehouse, but each member had to buy his own key. If the lock was broken, a $2 fine was instituted.
- Company dues in 1926 were $.25.
- The company motioned to have a secret knock for entrance in 1926 if a member forgot his key. This was necessary due to a broken nose suffered by one of our members after the door was opened too soon.
- In 1926, a radio set was purchased from Rescue Hose Company #5 for a dollar.
- An old pool table was donated to the fire company in May of 1927, and any member caught sitting on the pool table was fined $.50.
- In July of 1927, a member could be expelled if he was caught passing insulting remarks to ladies passing the firehall.
- Annual Dance tickets cost $.25 in 1927.
- In 1928, a fine of $1 was issued to anyone caught urinating in the firehouse.
- The company hired a band in 1929 to play at the Tonawanda Convention. Cost for four hours of music was $37.50.
- In September of 1929, MOTION was made and passed, to fine any member, while on duty, the sum of $1 if he danced without permission of the Chief while working the dance.
- In 1931, the Doyle #1 softball team came into existence with Spitz Herman as manager and Julius Voelker as captain.
- In 1931, any member using another members key was fined $.50.
- In 1933, the family picnic for all its members cost $87.29.
- The Card Party fund raiser in 1933 changed $.35 to enter, but that included the wardrobe check in.
- In December of 1933, the fire company had a radio raffle fund raiser that netted a profit of $6.50.
- 1936 - ¼ keg of beer cost $3.75, ½ keg $7.00 (Iroquois)
- 1938 - State delegate expenses were $.10/mile with $15 for hotel room.

- 1940 - 13 members attended Memorial Breakfast at a cost of $1.25 each.
- 1941 - December Election Meeting Dinner cost $7.00 TOTAL
- June 1942 - Members of the company had a Smokes For Soldiers Fund Raising Dance that raised $610.
- January 1943 - 20 members of the company called into service for the war.
- September 1943 - September meeting adjourned due to blackout.
- June 1946 - Convention delegates expenses were $.15/mile and $10 per day for hotel room.
- February 1950 - All officers are compelled to take First Aid Courses.
- August 1955 - George Spitz Herman elected President of the Southwestern Association of Volunteer Fireman,
- August 1956 - Bison Baseball Excursion to Offermann Stadium -cost $1.60 per ticket.
- January 1959 - Dues raised to $.10 per month.
- January 1959 - JFK Forum add taken - cost $5.
- September 1959 - members support "Royal Order of The Cooties" Fund Raiser.
- Softball team joins Erie County Firemen’s League - Ted Klosko named manager.
- September 1961- Softball team goes 14-2- wins 4 championships-Northern League, defeats North Collins at Erie County Fair, wins overall Sports Trophy and defeats Sheriffs Department.
- September 1963 - Softball team wins Northern Championship and defeats North Collins at Erie County Fair.
- January 1964 - Fund drive approved by the Board of Fire Commissioners for Doyle Hose Companies #1 & #2.
- March 1964 ; JFK Forum add increases to $10.
- June 1964 - Members march in first Cheektowaga Southside Little League Parade from firehall to Standard Park.
- January 1965 - Membership stands at 102 members.
- March 1965 - cost of beer keg increases to $13.50
- April 1968 - 38 members attend Bison Hockey Game- each allowed 3 cans of beer and total food cost after game at hall - $22.25.
- August 1971 – Doyle hosts Southwestern Convention, Chester "Chiefie" Kociszewski President. The 1st BBQ Chicken Dinner held.
- August 1973 - Fire company receives 1st place award for marching at Erie County Fair in 35 men and over group.
- January 1977 - BLIZZARD OF 77 HITS AREA - fire at 55 Fairoaks takes place during blizzard.
- March 1977 - Len Gruszka’s Fire cartoons appear in Cheektowaga Times.
- Company attends Buffalo Brewski night, August 1,1977.
- September 1977 : Doyle holds Bike Rodeo with prizes awarded.
- February 1978 - Softball team leaves Erie County softball and solidifies Cheektowaga Softball Division with its brother firemen.
- August 1978 - Softball team wins championship going 16-0
- January 1979 - Membership stands at 102 members.
- April 1979 - DOYLE #1 CELEBRATES 75TH ANNIVERSARY AT SHERATON EAST

- August 1.979 - Company places 3rd at Western Convention in First Aid Competition.
- August 1979 - Company wins 1st place in Southwestern Grotesque Parade.
- August 1979 - Softball team captures championship - records perfect 16-0 season.
- 1980 - St. Josaphat’s Parish celebrates 75th anniversary.
- August 1980 - First Aid team captures 2nd place at Western Convention.
- August 1980 - Softball team captures 3rd Cheektowaga Championship going 15-0; stretches winning streak to 47 games.
- October 1980 - ½ keg of beer now goes for $24.
- August 1981 - Fire Prevention Squad places 2nd in Southwestern Association brochure contest.
- August 1981 - Softball team wins 4th consecutive championship in Cheektowaga - runs winning streak to 62 games.
- February 1982 - Second major snowstorm hits area - firehall and members provide shelter, food and help for community and stranded outsiders. Many accolades received.
- August 1982 - Softball team captures 5th straight Cheektowaga Championship - winning streak reaches 77 games.
- August 1983 - Company hosts Southwestern Convention with Richard Ralicki President - Doyle Community Dances In The Streets
- September 1983 - Softball team captures 6th championship - winning streak reaches 87 games before defeated in regular season.
- October 1986 - Town adopts Len Gruszka Fire Prevention Flag.
- March 1987 - Companies fight Williamstowne Apartment Fire
- July 1987 - Company embarks on fund raising trip to Ashtabula, Ohio running a commissary car on a Steam Locomotive.
- February 1989 - Bob Higgins honored by Empire State Rescue and First Aid for his act of heroism and also named Man Of The Year by the William Street Taxpayers Association.
- June 1989 - Doyle sets fund raising trip working commissary car for Railway Society.
- August 1989 - Softball team captures 1st place before losing Championship to Southline in 10-9 thriller.
- November 1989 : Len Gruszka designs Erie County Fire Prevention flag.
- August 1990 - Company works on third railway excursion- destination Albion, Pa.
- September 1990 - First female applicant accepted - Lisa Ann Kostelny
- November 1990 - Cheektowaga-Sloan Board of Education honors Len Gruszka for 25 years of Fire Prevention to the school system.
- December 1990 - Explorer Charter received by Kevin Wiess.
- June 1991 - Final Train Excursion by Railway Society embarked upon.
- August 1991 - Softball team captures championship - going 17-0.
- September 1992 - Softball team captures championship - going 16-1.
- January 1993 - Fire company begin year fighting fires on Starlite Avenue, the orphanage, the Holiday Inn and Suburban Collision.
- August 1993 - Softball team captures final championship.
- February 1994 - LOSAP Program commences.
- June 1994 - Softball batboy/loyal fan - Brian - killed in car accident
- October 1994 - Tower 6 ladder truck dedicated.
- July 1996 - Doyle softball comes to an end as the sport is dropped.
- May 1997 - Doyle establishes scholarship fund for graduating seniors.
- June 1998 - Board of Fire Commissioners approves a new truck that will replace Engine 2.
- August 1998 - Fire Prevention Program wins first place award at Erie County Fair.
- August 1999 - Doyle Hosts Southwestern Convention, Daniel Pawlowski President.
- January 2000 – Engine 2 Dedicated, Blessed by Father Rog.
- May 2000 - Jay Napieralski and Joe Fitzgerald receive Leonard Post Life Saving Award.
- June 2000 – Doyle 1 Explorer Post reinstated by Jay Napieralski and Donald Szumigala.
- August 2000 – Henry Andrzejewski receives Service Award for 60 years of service at the Erie County Fair.
- November 2000 – Town State of Emergency, 4ft Snowfall Thanksgiving week.
- July 2001 – Both Doyle 1 & 2 receive first Chief’s vehicles ever.
- November 2001 - Mike Mazurowski and David Crone honored by Channel 23-WNLO for delivery of a young child during an emergency.
- December 2001 – Town Declares state of Emergency. Worst storm ever, dropping 7 feet of snow in less than 3 days.
